Este pasado mes de Octubre, pude visitar una de las ferias de interiorismo europeas con mayor estilo, Interieur. Dicha feria se celebra bienalmente en Kortrijk, Bélgica. En ella pude recorrer cada uno de sus pabellones sin dejar de observar nuevas propuestas de interiorismo de alto nivel. Cocinas y baños de ensueño se mezclaban con los mejores editores de muebles para interior y exterior. La única critica que podría hacer, es el marcado carácter local que tiene la misma. La mayor de las sorpresas, me la llevé cuando siguiendo un curioso cartel, bajé por una oscura y estrecha escalera, que llevaba a lo que parecían las entrañas de la propia feria. Allí, en un lugar casi claustrofóbico, sin luz natural, y en el que rozaba con la cabeza en el techo, hasta el punto de tener que sacarme el sombrero, me encontré con un conjunto de caras ilusionadas. Eran todos los jóvenes estudiantes que habían sido seleccionados para exponer sus diseños en este espacio a la caza y captura de un posible productor. No tenia desperdicio!! La insolencia de un joven diseñador solo se puede comparar a la fuerza de un tornado. Fue una experiencia alucinante, y que recomiendo a todos los que les guste soñar en el futuro del mundo del diseño.

This past October, I visited one of the fairs of Europe’s most stylish interiors, Interieur. This exhibition is held biennially in Kortrijk, Belgium. I could travel through each one of its buildings without stoping to observe new proposals of interior design of high levels. Dream kitchens and bathrooms were mixed with the best publishers of furniture for interior and exterior. The only criticism I could make, is the character that takes it. The biggest of surprises, when I took her to a strange sign, down a dark and narrow staircase, carrying what appeared to the bowels of the fair itself. There, in an almost claustrophobic, with no natural light, and where brink with his head on the roof, to the point of having to get me out the hat, I met a group of expectant faces. They were all young students who had been selected to present their designs in this space for hunting and trapping of a possible producer. There was no waste! The insolence of a young designer can only be compared to the strength of a tornado. It was an amazing experience and I recommend it to all who like to dream about the future of the world of design.
